I remember reading about the vanishing Arctic ice back in 2006 in Brighton and suddenly realising that global warming, climate change and the whole ghastly implications thereof were not just possibilities in the distant future but stuff that we had to deal with immediately. The longer we put off change, the harder that change would be. So I started to look into what people were doing, and that's how I came across the Diggers and Dreamers website and through that found and visited Chickenshack, where I met Steve Jones, teacher of Permaculture Design through Sector39.
